I liked this movie very much. The acting was superb!! The characters were spot on how you think they were in the Bible. Parts of the persecution, I closed my eyes because I remember the "Passion" and how it affected me. I did shed some tears however. The movie will restore one's faith if you're doubting it. Go see it!! I won't forget this movie!!

If you are a believer this is a great movie! I was really moved particularly the scenes where Jesus interacts with Peter... not sure how an unbeliever would receive this movie. I say you have to go! Easier to watch than the Passion but still take a hanky. I heard lots of sniffling and everyone clapped at the end....

I read the book and it was better! I do applaud the effort & anything that Shares the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & His saving power is a good thing! Please use this venue to expose unsaved friends and loved one to the message of forgiveness of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross! However, I personally found it lacking in delivery, slow at times... Nothing new we had not seen before. My biggest disappointment was with the resurrection scene at the tomb. You might argue that the producer's were trying to stick to the narrative in John's Gospel but if there was any reason for taking artistic license it should have been here! I mean, with the modern technology and spectacular effects... the resurrection of Christ, the stone rolled away by an angel, the earthshaking fear that surely struck in the hearts of the guarding roman soldiers (The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. Mat. 28) the glory of a risen Christ! Even more awe inspiring! Big Tommy

Disappointing for a lifelong Christian who was hoping for a more emotional, deeper look at Christ. Not enough focus on Christ's humanity or His deity. It reminded me of a movie made entirely from stories told in a 1st grade Sunday School classroom. Plot line problems: The tearing of the temple veil was almost an afterthought, even though is one of the MOST significant elements of the crucifixion story. They also held to the long-accepted but historically false nativity scene, in which the Magi arrive immediately after His birth (in reality it was 2-3 years later). Technically speaking, the CGI scenery of the city and the temple look fake - it reminded me of the painted far-off desert scenes in old spaghetti westerns. I realize this was a cable-TV mini-series that was made into a movie - but I still think they could have done a better job. For someone who wants to see the stories of Jesus, this is a good film. For the devout, it is lacking.

This movie speaks for itself, I believe that everyone in America should see this film. I think this is a great start to remind us about our faith especially for those who have lost their faith. Son of God will hopefully help bring back the word to America. This country has lost our faith, the last time we all came together was 9/11, however after 9/11 when the nation all prayed together, most of us went back to our normal lives and washed out Christ once again. I think these movies coming out for us to see are only signs from Christ reminding us to come back. I have seen The Bible which includes this film and have to say, these movies have helped me understand the bible better and have brought me closer and began my relationship with Christ that so many of us have forgotten and lost. There are reason for coincidences!!!!!!!! GO SEE THE MOVIE AND BE TOUCHED LIKE I WAS.............
